Fagotex — Film-Faced Beech Plywood
First we press the densest panel in the room. Then we armor it. Fagotex is phenolic film-faced, anti-slip beech plywood built for trailer floors, van linings and vehicle bodies — a 750 kg/m³ all-beech core under a weatherproof phenolic skin.
What Fagotex is
Film-faced plywood (also sold in Europe as “tego” or phenolic plywood) is a structural panel whose faces are hot-pressed with resin-impregnated phenolic film. The film seals the face against water, chemicals and abrasion; a wire-mesh imprint on the working side adds anti-slip grip underfoot and under load.
Most film-faced panels on the market wrap that armor around a birch or mixed-species core. Fagotex puts it on 100% European beech — denser and harder than any birch panel — so the strength doesn’t stop at the skin. When a pallet truck drops a corner or a load shifts in transit, it’s the core that decides whether the floor survives. Ours is the hardest one available.

Why a beech core beats a birch core under film
Film-faced birch is the default in the market — but the film is only as good as what’s under it. Beech brings 750 vs ~650 kg/m³ density and a harder surface under the same film, which means fewer through-dents, tighter screw-holding at fixing points, and longer floor life on the same thickness.
